The first step of the Ultra Glaze process involves using Ultra Glaze precleaners to effectively clean and sterilise the surface of the bath. Our precleaners involve using a two-stage system that covers the entire pH range. Our precleaners are engineered specifically for this process, leaving the surface completely clean.
Once the surface is clean and properly prepared, we move onto phase two: the Ultra Glaze primer is applied. The purpose of the primer is to provide the all important bond between the existing surface and the new coating. This primer is our unique innovation and allows us to offer a 7 year warranty on our resurfacing jobs. We offer a 7 year warranty because we are confident the surface will last well beyond 7 years.
Next we apply the Ultra Glaze coating over the primer, in a series of layers. The Ultra Glaze coating offers the highest standard of hardness and flexibility, as well as being UV resistant. We then cure the surface using high frequency infrared energy. Within 2 hours we are left with a dry, polishable surface.
Seeing as a bathroom does not have a controlled atmosphere, Ultra Glaze takes the extra step of polishing the new bath surface after baking to ensure that no dust particles remain on the bath. This final step is another unique feature of our system, and one that enables the operator to achieve the highest standards possible.
The result is a smooth, easy-to-clean new surface with natural slip-reduction properties which looks great and costs a fraction of pulling the old bath out, re-doing the plumbing, re-tiling and all those other jobs which can put your bathroom out of action for days.
