THE COMPANY

The Company was incorporated in June 1981 and activities commenced mainly in the area of specialised coatings. The main emphasis was on bath resurfacing using an imported system which relied on acid-etching to create the all-important bond between the old surface and the new coating to be applied. This quickly proved to be a sub-standard system resulting in a high rate of failures within the one year warranty period.

THE NEED FOR ULTRA GLAZE

With the Company severely compromised as a result of the warranty claims arising from the imported system, a programme was begun to develop a more reliable means of resurfacing baths and other bathroom fittings. Ultimately, the search led to the School of Polymer Science at the University of New South Wales in Sydney.

Since the original system (and indeed virtually all other bath resurfacing systems) relied on acid etching to create the critical bond referred to above, it was obvious that a more effective and reliable method had to be found.

WHAT IS ULTRA GLAZE?

The result was the ULTRA GLAZE BATH RESURFACING PROCESS - specifically engineered to provide a professional and reliable system of resurfacing baths and other bathroom fittings.

The ULTRA GLAZE PRECLEANERS effectively clean and sterilise the old surface of the bath while the unique ULTRA GLAZE PRIMER "chemically welds" the new "ULTRA GLAZE COATING" to the old bath surface. This `laminating' effect is further enhanced by the use of highfrequency infrared energy which bakes the Coating onto the bath to provide a polishable surface in as little as 2 hours.

Since a bathroom does not have a controlled atmosphere, ULTRA GLAZE takes the extra step of polishing the new bath surface after baking to ensure that no dust particles remain on the bath.

The result is a smooth, easy-to-clean new surface with natural slip-reduction properties which looks great and cost a fraction of pulling the old bath out, redoing the plumbing, retiling and all those other jobs which can put your bathroom out of action for days.
