Ultra Glaze became involved in the bath resurfacing industry in 1981. Back then, we were using an imported system which utilised the method of acid etching the surface of the bath. This method obtains a 'mechanical bond' between the old and new surfaces.

We eventually realised that this was a sub-standard system as there were a high rate of failures within the one year warranty period. These failures were the motivation to develop a better, more reliable bathtub resurfacing solution, which eventually resulted in the Ultra Glaze formula used today.
